Artist's Statement: 

 

I paint, therefore I am... 

 

...almost sane. 

Biography: 

 

East Village goes West… 

Erin dropped out of several of the finest arts schools in New York City. 

Refusing to buy into the conformity that educators required, Erin went out on

her own. 

For 2 years, Erin was Personal Assistant to Master impressionist artist, Joseph

Dawley in Cranford, NJ, and assisted him in all aspects of the artistic process. 

Positions in art picture framing, and matting and mounting found Erin handling

everything from Warhols & Lichtenstiens, to Picassos and Matisse for New York

galleries and museums. Actual contact with these classics has given Erin

inspiration that still endures. 

 

Subsequent experimentation using various media, color and texture to express

personal and collective emotional turmoil, has led Erin to her current body of

eclectic work.
