Be
Informed About Child Sexual Abuse Statistics
Adults who seek to molest children can appear to be
NORMAL.
Generally child molestation cases are more common with
male or female perpetrators that the child knows, like a
parent,
relative, teacher, or other children including relatives
and siblings.
Infant, toddlers, preschool, grade school children are
all at risk,
however teens are the largest group of children that
report abuse.
Create
Limits
Children in groups tend to be safer, though not
always.
TEACHING PROJECTS
Educate
your child about sex abuse.
Start by explaining why strangers would want to
harm them, then
go on to explain how how difficult it is to differentiate
between
safe people and molesters, and that a molester can be
someone
of their own family. Explaining circumstances as simply
as possible
will set the stage for the child to come to you with
questions, tell
the child he/she doesn't have to do what others say, and
that the
child's body is not to be touched by anyone except a
doctor, and
explain that there may be other adults and other children
who may
want to, but that it's okay to say no, and to get out of
that situation
fast. Giving the child these boundaries and power to say
no, will also
help him/her when they start dating in the future.
Descriptions
of Strangers:
Teach your children to practice giving a descriptions of
strangers
including height, weight, age, clothing and unusual
characteristics,
and to practice recognizing color, make, and model of
vehicles, so
that they will be better equipped to do so if a situation
should ever
presents itself.
How
to make Collect Calls:
Teach your children to memorize their home address and
phone
number and how to dial 911 and to make long distance
collect calls
from different phone systems like from motels.
Cell
Phone Physiology:
Teach even preschoolers to carry a cell phone, if you can
not afford
one get a fake one and teach your child to run while
pretending to
dial police when there is stranger danger. One thing all
sex offenders
have in common is that they are opportunistic and afraid
of being
exposed, and won't normally take unnecessary risks,
unless delusional.
Wrestling:
Making wrestling into a game can be fun and educational,
whether your a mom
or a dad simply wrestling with your children teaches them
a lot about their
strengths and weaknesses, and gives them coordination and
confidence.
Having children take professional self defense courses is
good too.
Conversational:
Child/adult conversations, practice teaching your
children to converse with adult
friends or family, allowing the adults to talk about
themselves and their interests,
as this skill can be beneficial in making a perpetrator
view the child as a person
instead of as an object.
Composure
Under Stress:
Practice teaching your children about how to remain calm
in a dark car truck, how
to pull wiring out from tail light assemblies, how to
feel around in a dark trunk to
search for tools in the spare tire compartments, and
together exploring ideas on
how to get out, or alert other drivers. On Americas Most
Wanted they once pre-
viewed a couple of kidnapped children that managed to
break the tail light lenses
and with a wire waved a piece of cloth to alert other
drivers, those smart actions
saved their lives! As a passing motorist noticed the
waving cloth from the tail light
assembly and called police, the kidnapper was convicted.
If your child is ever missing
#1
don't panic
#2
Get recent photo, and all vital statistic information of
your child and
description of suspect, and suspect vehicle if
applicable.
#3
Immediately Call the Police, (not calling can disqualify
your missing child case from) Make
sure you get a case Number. It's always better to be safe
then sorry.
#4
ASAP find out if your case qualifies for your local Amber
Alert System.
#5
See these sites to register a missing child: Polly Klass Foundation

Exploited Kids
#6
Call local printers to see if they would be interested in
printing up flyers
See Polly Class Foundation Intake Page for Flyer Templates. Don't be bashful
ask for help, donations, and or free services, most
people are willing to help.
#7
Ask for help from churches, friends, neighbors, non
profit organizations,
etc. to help put up flyers at schools, libraries,
businesses, homeless shelters,
kitchens, gas stations, etc.
#8
Get your local news paper, radio, and TV stations to
cover your case and
ask the public for help!
#9
During times of extreme stress you, your spouse, and your
other children
may struggle with confusion and anxiety, it's important
to take extra care of
each other without blaming and getting angry at each
other regardless of the
circumstances, additionally it may be beneficial to seek
professional medical help
to aid your family in coping with post traumatic stress,
insomnia, depression, or
any other condition that could arise during these
particularly difficult times.
#10
Your child is found safe, and the perpetrator is in
custody. Now going to
court can be traumatizing for your child victim. Make
sure that your child is very
comfortable with his/her counselor or therapist, look for
support groups of
child survivors of abuse. Therapy and counseling may also
be needed for
parents and siblings, as though they may not show it have
also been through
a lot. If your child victim is very afraid in court or
just needs emotional support
call on Bikers Against Child
Abuse
to show up, and help the child victim and family
feel safe.
#11
If your child remains missing or is found deceased attend
support groups or
start your own, get into therapy and counseling for
yourself, spouse and family.
As traumatic events can be especially hard on everyone
though one can appear
externally fine. Most importantly try not to blame each
other for what happened.

Unidentified
Youth
Child sexual abuse is a criminal act,
unfortunately many victims
are murdered, denied the opportunity to speak. In my
opinion
these children may have mentally handicapped or
perpetrator
parents, because there are no existing missing person
reports on
file that match their individual profiles.
Forensic artists have reconstructed through drawings or
clay a
general impression of the remains of each child found.
Please help
find out their identities to help discover their
perpetrators and
potentially solve the crime to invoke justice.
