David had on new winter clothes, his hair was brown with light highlights, straight and thick, he had wide
feet, his face full and narrowed at the chin, his lips were not thin nor full, brown eyes, and was very big
for his age. Zerfas was 27 at that time in 1970, his hair was Brown, 6 foot tall, grey eyes with a medium
to thin build. He used his surname as his first name also went by Leon, LG, William John, Joseph, Bill or Jose.
Genie and Zerfas lived a few of miles east of Dixon in an area known as "Canoncito", before "Montecito"
one mile on Highway 580. Dixon is northeast of Espanola in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico. The Embudo
Hospital (now closed) was about 5 to 6 miles west from where they lived. David's father is unknown.

Genevieve "Genie", David's mom, states she last saw David with her then boyfriend "Zerfas" outside the
Embudo Hospital window where she stayed a few days Jan.10-12 1970. She was very weak at the time,
and therefore the exact day may be uncertain. Zerfas and David may have left hitch-hicking; on foot; or
in a faded green 1946 Chevy pick-up truck. When Genie got out of the hospital and went home, all of
David's belongings were gone, she was told by Zerfas that he had left David with a family who lived in
Santa Fe, or to a family who lived in a bus, or that his sister came and took David to live with her in Mexico.
